About the site
I created LouisvilleScanMan in 2006 because I wanted to make the kind of website that I wish I had access to when I first got into scanning at age 11. A site that not only listed frequencies and descriptions, but also explained how the Louisville public safety dispatching system worked.
This site is geared towards the emergency communications listener rather then the railroad or aviation enthusiast although I do list Louisville area aviation and railroad frequencies as well as many other services.
